2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee: Nothing much happening from 2023 – What’s happening to the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee? After it gets a fully redesigned work (taking place in 2023), the Cherokee will be designed as a carryover. After all, the Grand Cherokee has a pretty extensive lineup because Jeep offers many models, from the midsize two-row SUVs, the Grand Cherokee L with a three-row arrangement, and then the plug-in hybrid 4xe model.
The Exterior Design
In 2023, the Grand Cherokee will be designed with high-end and more luxurious styling. Let’s not forget the rugged touch-ups. Expect to find rectangular headlights, chunky fender flares, a seven-slot grille (the brand’s iconic signature), and a comprehensive air intake. The SUV comes with big exhaust outlets and slim taillights at the back – both are integrated into the bumper. The Grand Cherokee does look upscale, thanks to the tall roofline and boxy lines. But if you want a more rugged design, you should go with the 4xe model with blue accents, off-road touches, chunky tires, and tow hooks. Since the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee would be the carryover model, you should expect a similar format to the 2023 model.
The Interior Cabin
The cabin is made comfortable, plush, and exclusive; plus, there is great harmony between technology and luxury. The dash console is designed to flow into the center one with simple straight lines. The Grand Cherokee comes with a tech-heavy cabin, but there are still dials and buttons for the main functions. Everything is made user-friendly, and it’s undoubtedly no fuss to operate things. Expect the 2024 model to retain a similar design and vibe.
Powertrain and Performance
The Cherokee would come with a V6 unit with a 3.6-liter capacity, delivering 293 hp and 260 Nm of torque. This is the standard unit. There is also a V8 unit with a 5.7-liter capacity, churning out 357 hp and 390 Nm of torque. The power unit would be the four-cylinder turbocharged 2.0-liter capacity and two electric motors to generate 375 hp and 470 Nm of torque for the plug-in hybrid. The Grand Cherokee offers a rear-wheel-drive system as standard, but Jeep also offers four-wheel and all-wheel drive systems for the 2024 model.
Besides the reliable engine, Jeep also improved the safety features, especially for the standard types. There would be pedestrian detection, lane-keeping assist, rear parking sensors, rear cross-traffic alert, auto emergency braking, forward collision, blind-spot monitoring, and lane departure warning. Extra features include lane centering assist, park assist, nite vision assist, head-up display, intersection assist, and traffic sign recognition.
Price and Release Date
The new Grand Cherokee should be ready for sale around fall 2023. The price may likely mimic the current model, which means that the standard Grand Cherokee would start at around $39,200, while the Grand Cherokee L would be approximately $38,900. The price may reach $64,000. The company hasn’t said anything about the 4xe trim’s price. This (midsize) 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV will be a formidable rival to the Ford Bronco, Ford Explorer, Kia Telluride, and Honda Pilot.
