Improved 2024 Ford Ranger with Its Technologies – Rumor has it that the new 2024 Ford Ranger would be coming with even improved technologies and visual appearance, making it one of the best midsize (pickup) trucks for its loyal fans. The 2024 model is said to experience redesigned project, which makes it even better and even improved from the currently aging truck.
Release Date and Price
When it comes to the launching date, it’s likely that the 2024 Ford Ranger would be released in summer 2022 – the fall time would be the latest. The Ranger would be made available in most of the dealerships in the US. What about the international markets? Well, Ford has also planned out a sooner release with the 2023 Ranger as the starter. If everything goes as planned, the redesigned Ranger will start production in the company’s manufacturing plants located in Thailand and South Africa.
Unfortunately, the company hasn’t said anything about the price range. But considering that it has undergone redesigned work (upgrades included), it would be natural if the 2024 model is slightly costlier than the 2022 model. Just to give you insight, the 2022 Ranger is set at around $25,300 for the Super Cab and it is set around $27,700 for the SuperCrew.
Powertrain and Performance
The new 2024 model would be likely running on a four-cylinder turbocharged EcoBoost unit with a 2.3-liter capacity that is paired with an auto 10-speed transmission. It’s the same arrangement as the 2023 model. The output would be around 270 hp and 310 Nm of torque. The global version would be coming with options that cover manual transmission and also diesel units, but such options may not be available for the US market.
The 2024 towing capacity may be set at around 7,500 pounds. For the offroad arrangement, the Raptor may be released after the 2024 standard Ranger. Ford Raptor, the engine arrangement would be similar to Ford Bronco, which is set at V6 twin-turbo unit with 2.7-liter capacity.
If you take a look at the design, the 2024 Ranger would be like Ford Maverick, but with bigger dimensions and sizes. The new Ranger would have the same (bold) wheel arches and LED C-shaped headlights with extra side steps designed behind the wheel arches. If you compare it to the 2022 model, the new 2024 would be bigger because it has an extra 2 inches for the track width and wheelbase.
The 2023 Ranger’s infotainment system and interior are considered aging, so the redesigned project is definitely good news. You can expect a 10.1-inch touchscreen system, which is the standard, or the vertical 12.0 inch. Both of them would operate the infotainment SYNC 4 system, controlling the offroad display modes and driving mode. There is also a wireless charging pad and extra cargo room on the doors and under the (rear) seats.
With all the improved features and redesigned work, the 2024 Ranger can compete against Chevrolet Colorado, Honda Ridgeline, Toyota Tacoma, Jeep Gladiator, GMC Canyon, and Nissan Frontier. We would hear more if there is an update about the upcoming 2024 Ford Ranger.
