Leaked True Power of 2023 Corvette Z06 – Finally, there is confirmation about the upcoming 2023 Corvette Z06. Although the company has stated that they are going to make one of the fastest ever rides with the 2023 model Corvette, there has never been official confirmation about the exact numbers. Now there is leaked information about the new Z06 stating that the new Corvette would be coming with 670 hp and other details.
The Z06 comes with wider fascias, quarter panels, and fenders that would enhance the menacing stance. It also comes with spoiler and ground effects to boost the powertrain and aerodynamic drag. Moreover, the ride is introducing replaceable rear brake (cooling) ducts, spoiler wicker bills, front underwing (stall) gurneys, and also front fascia panel.
The Leaked Information
It’s pretty interesting to see that the upcoming 2023 Corvette Z06 won’t only be generating 670 hp, but it is able to reach 60 mph within 2.6 seconds only. Pretty impressive, huh? The company even claims that it is able to cover a quarter within 10.6 seconds only. The new upcoming 2023 model would be even faster than the (now super fast) Stingray C8 Corvette Z51. For comparison, the Z51 is ‘only’ able to reach 60 mph within 3.1 seconds and it is able to cover a quarter within 11.4 seconds.
Powertrain and Performance
The new Z06 is said to be running on a V8 unit of 5.5-liter capacity that is newly designed with a mid-mounted type. As a result, it is able to generate 670 hp and 460 Nm of torque with an auto eight-speed dual-clutch mechanism and rear-wheel driving system.
It’s the 670 hp that makes quite impressive expectations. With the strongest V8 unit, the company makes sure that they have implemented the superb and total craftsmanship (also with a hand-built engine) that isn’t only able to produce punchy power, but it is also able to produce pleasant growl, which would be the unique signature of the ride.
In most cases, a super-fast ride needs solid (and strong) braking ability. That’s why this Z06 also comes with impressive stopping ability. Thanks to its 6-piston (on the front) and 4-piston (on the rear) brake, you can be sure about the quality of the brake. Not to mention that the brakes are made from carbon-ceramic, delivering state-of-the-art and global quality performance.
The Corvette Z06 may be set as the fastest type of ride when it is sold, but the status may not be too long. There is a possibility of a hybrid Corvette – the hybridized ZR1 – which is designed as the electric E-Ray. The ride should be ready within several years in the future. We just have to wait for the electric model.
Price Range and Launching Date
If everything goes as planned, the super ride would start at around $80,000 of the price tag, and it would be made available at dealerships within 2022 (the second quarter of the year). It means that the company still has time to perform tests around springtime. Let’s wait for further confirmation about the 2023 Corvette Z06.
